Current anesthesia screens are rudimentary, frustrating to use, and pose a number of safety issues. Jerry Lewis at Emory University Hospital has designed an anesthesia screen that is more efficient, safe, stable, and supportive than previous devices. It is adjustable, secure, constructed of lightweight material, and free to rotate with the table. This new drape holder and surgical support device, also called The Beast™, has been reduced to practice and is supported by surgeons and anesthesiologists.
